The Louisville Kings and Copper & Kings American Brandy Company have announced a new partnership tied to the team’s inaugural season, highlighted by a limited collector bourbon release.
The collaboration introduces the first-ever Louisville Kings private single barrel, selected by the team to commemorate its debut year.
15-Year Bourbon Finished in Apple Brandy Barrel
The commemorative release consists of a single barrel of 15-year Kentucky bourbon, aged a total of 18 years in wood after being finished for more than three years in a Copper & Kings apple brandy barrel. According to the announcement, the whiskey is positioned as a rare release intended to mark the beginning of a new era for Louisville sports.
Limited Bottle Release Event Details
The collector release will debut during a special event at the Copper & Kings Distillery in Louisville on March 23 from 6–9 p.m. ET. Attendance is limited to 150 ticket holders, with each ticket securing one bottle of the inaugural single barrel signed by head coach Chris Redman.
Each ticket includes admission for the purchaser and one guest, along with complimentary food and drinks and live music. Bottles are priced at $300 and may be reserved through a dedicated online form. Customers unable to attend may still purchase a ticket to secure a bottle for later pickup, subject to availability.
Official Partnership and Game Day Activation
As part of the agreement, Copper & Kings has been named an Official Partner of the Louisville Kings and will serve as the Official Tailgate partner through the “Kings Before Kings” pre-game experience. The partnership will include game day activations and events designed to connect fans with the distillery throughout the season.
“This is about celebrating the start of something special for Louisville,” said Rob Bourdon of Copper & Kings. “The Kings’ inaugural season deserves a bottle that marks the moment – something rare and memorable, made right here in Louisville.”
Extremely Limited Release Ahead of Season Kickoff
Only 150 bottles of the inaugural Louisville Kings single barrel will be produced, making it one of the most limited releases from Copper & Kings. The team is scheduled to begin its inaugural season at Lynn Family Stadium on March 27 against the Birmingham Stallions as part of the United Football League season kickoff.
