The Distillery located at Star Hill Farm in Loretto, Kentucky Has Announced a New Chihuly Art Exhibition and Reimagined Restaurant Experience Starting July 19, 2025.

Nine Chihuly Installations Debut Across Distillery Grounds

Maker’s Mark has announced the debut of a new art exhibition and enhanced culinary offerings at its homeplace in Loretto, Kentucky. Opening July 19, Chihuly x Maker’s Mark will feature nine large-scale glass installations from acclaimed contemporary artist Dale Chihuly. Key works include the 12-foot Sapphire and Platinum Waterdrop Tower (2017) and Moonbow Fiori (2025), all positioned across the Star Hill Farm campus. The exhibition runs through December 7 and includes self-guided tours, with optional Saturday night after-dark experiences that feature limited-edition bourbon pours and curated cocktails.

Evening Tours and Bourbon Experiences Return

Evening programming will include tastings of rare Maker’s Mark expressions such as Star Hill Farm Whisky, the Wood Finishing Series, and Cellar Aged releases. Guests can also enjoy a specially crafted cocktail and culinary pairing at Star Hill Provisions as part of the “Perfectly Unreasonable” themed experience.

Culinary and Cocktail Program Expands

Coinciding with the Chihuly exhibition, Maker’s Mark is relaunching its food and beverage program with a new seasonal menu curated by Chef Richard Knight and head of cocktail innovation Leslie Krockenberger. The updated offerings emphasize hyper-local ingredients sourced directly from Star Hill Farm’s regenerative agriculture initiatives. The recently expanded Star Hill Provisions restaurant now includes a new patio and enhanced seating capacity.

A Decade-Long Artistic Partnership

Working with Maker’s Mark over the last decade has been a creatively fulfilling experience for me,” said Dale Chihuly. “I drew a lot of inspiration from the landscape and architecture of the campus, and I’m excited to return with a new exhibition that responds to this special place in new ways.

Maker’s Mark Doubles Down on Culture and Sustainability

Rob Samuels, managing director and eighth-generation whisky maker, emphasized that this initiative is in line with the brand’s cultural and environmental values. “Our partnership with Dale Chihuly reflects that perfectly unreasonable spirit,” said Samuels. “This exhibition…reinforces our vision to make Star Hill Farm the most endearing, culturally rich and environmentally responsible homeplace in the world.
