The new name will officially launch November 2, 2026, alongside a planned change to the company’s Nasdaq ticker symbol from MGPI to CASK.

MGP Ingredients has announced plans to rebrand as Sempreon, introducing a new corporate identity intended to unite its Branded Spirits, Distilling Solutions and Ingredient Solutions businesses.

The Atchison, Kansas-based company said the rebrand reflects its evolution over more than 85 years, bringing together the legacies of MGP Ingredients, Luxco and other businesses that have joined the organization. The company’s portfolio spans branded spirits, contract distilling and specialty ingredients, positioning it across several segments of the spirits and food industries.

“Sempreon is the next chapter for a company that’s been building toward this for years,” said Julie Francis, president and chief executive officer of MGP Ingredients. “Since 1941, we’ve grown from a single distillery into a business spanning Branded Spirits, Distilling Solutions and Ingredient Solutions. This name brings all three of our businesses under one identity. As we enter this exciting new era, our strategy remains grounded in focus, disciplined execution and accountability. Sempreon brings that strategy to life through our commitment to the idea of ‘Tradition Looking Forward,’ honoring everything we have built while continuing to evolve, innovate and create long-term growth and value.”

A New Name Built on MGP’s History

According to the company, the name Sempreon combines elements intended to represent both its heritage and its future. “Semper,” derived from Latin for “always,” represents the company’s enduring foundation, while “Aion,” drawn from the Greek word for “eternity,” reflects its forward-looking vision and the legacy it hopes to build.

The company’s new mission is “Creating moments that matter. Building a legacy that lasts.” MGP said the identity is designed to reflect its growth beyond a single distillery, brand or product category while preserving the names and histories of its established operations.

“Over the better part of the last century, our company has grown to represent much more than a single distillery, brand or category,” said Matias Bentel, chief marketing officer of MGP Ingredients. “Becoming Sempreon is about bringing our businesses together under a shared identity while honoring the legacy that built them. We’re carrying that legacy forward through the names of our distilleries, including MGP and Lux Row, while looking ahead to what’s next.”

Branded Spirits Portfolio Includes Penelope and Yellowstone

Sempreon’s Branded Spirits business includes a portfolio spanning bourbon, whiskey, tequila and other categories. Brands include Penelope Bourbon, Yellowstone Bourbon, Rebel Bourbon, Remus Bourbon, Ezra Brooks Bourbon, Blood Oath Bourbon, Lux Row Bourbon, Juarez Tequila, El Mayor Tequila, Exotico Tequila and Everclear.

The company cited its acquisition of Luxco in 2021 as a defining milestone that brought together complementary brands, distillation and bottling capabilities, experienced teams and national distribution. In 2023, MGP acquired Penelope Bourbon, which it describes as one of the fastest-growing premium American whiskey brands.

MGP has also begun bringing its own whiskey-making expertise directly to consumers through the MGP spirits line. Its first release, MGP Chapter One: Out of the Shadows, is a 10-year-old, 111-proof straight bourbon intended to connect the company’s distilling heritage with a new generation of whiskey drinkers.

Distilling and Ingredient Businesses Remain Central

The Distilling Solutions business provides production services for spirits producers, including distilling, aging, blending and other capabilities. Its operations support bourbon, rye, whiskey, gin, grain neutral spirits and other distilled spirits. MGP said its Lawrenceburg, Indiana, distillery has supported more than 1,000 American whiskey customers since 2012, while also producing spirits for recognized gin and vodka brands.

The Ingredient Solutions business produces specialty ingredients such as wheat proteins, starches, dietary fibers and texturized proteins. Its work combines research and development, ingredient science and production capabilities to help food manufacturers address product requirements involving nutrition, functionality, texture and taste.

The Sempreon identity will bring these three businesses together under one corporate name while maintaining the established identities of distilleries and brands within the organization. The rebrand and planned Nasdaq ticker change to CASK are scheduled to take effect November 2, 2026.
