NEW YORK – September 3, 2025 — Barrel Global, the U.S.-based barrel ownership company, has announced a new partnership with Middle West Spirits to offer Old Elk Wheated Bourbon new-fill single barrels to customers. This limited-edition release includes 50–100 200-liter barrels, available for $2,500 each, with discounts for purchasing two or more.

“Old Elk has gained great recognition and popularity since its founding and whiskey enthusiasts will have the opportunity to have a barrel of their own,” said George Koutsakis, Founder of Barrel Global.


Crafted for Aging and Collecting

Each barrel features Old Elk’s award-winning wheated bourbon mashbill:

  • 51% corn
  • 45% wheat
  • 4% malted barley

Designed to age into premium wheated bourbon, these barrels offer a unique opportunity for enthusiasts to oversee maturation and customize their bottling.


How Barrel Global Works

Through Barrel Global’s online portal, customers can:

  1. Schedule an intake call with a barrel expert
  2. Request samples to personalize their selection
  3. Receive legal certification of barrel ownership
  4. Store barrels in a secure Kentucky warehouse for $100/year
  5. Visit the warehouse, pull samples, and monitor maturation
  6. Design and bottle their whiskey with full compliance
  7. Resell barrels at any time or pursue commercial bottling with COLA support
