Artists Behind “The Best Man” Introduce Sable Bourbon in Time for Iconic Film’s 25th Anniversary.
Harold Perrineau, Malcolm D. Lee, Morris Chestnut, and Taye Diggs, who joined forces for the iconic film “The Best Man,” are collaborating to produce Sable Bourbon. The new bourbon looks to embody “the spirit of connection and culture”. According to the brand, which has partnered with Bespoken Spirits, Sable was crafted to blend of tradition and modernity. Bespoken Spirits, a cutting-edge whiskey producer, is best known for its unique approach to aging and flavor creation. In its process, Bespoken introduces micro-staves into the barrel and employs a proprietary process to produce a variety of natural aroma and flavor profiles.
Sable Bourbon was crafted using a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, resulting in a 94 proof spirit. Sable Bourbon’s release notes that the bourbon features a deep golden-brown color, with aromas of burnt sugar, pear compote, allspice, and nutty marzipan. On the palate, the brand states that it delivers rich flavors of dense mocha and dark chocolate fudge, culminating in an oak-forward finish with a medium-spice finish.
Sable Bourbon is available online at sablebourbon.com at a suggested price of $59.99 / 750mL and is rolling out in retail locations across the US. You can follow Sable Bourbon on Instagram.

To date, the process has created over 5,000 unique whiskey variations, all using less wood, water, time and energy than traditional barrel aging. Bespoken-produced whiskies have earned over 200 accolades over the past three years, including ASCOT awards and medals from the American Distilling Institute, San Francisco World Spirits Competition, World Whiskies, New York World Wine & Spirits and many others.
