It’s the Oldest Whiskey to Date in the Reserve Series
Sagamore Spirit has announced the debut of its 10-Year-Old Straight Rye Whiskey, the latest addition to its Reserve Series and the oldest straight rye whiskey the distillery has released. The limited-edition bottling is available beginning in September 2025 at Sagamore Spirit’s Baltimore distillery and select premium retailers nationwide.
Whiskey Details and Tasting Notes
The rye is aged for 10 years in new charred American white oak barrels and bottled at 110.8 proof (55.4% ABV). According to Sagamore Spirit, the whiskey delivers aromas of peach crumble, roasted nuts, and molasses cookie, with flavors of crème brûlée, floral honey, and white pepper.
A Milestone for the Maryland Distillery
Ryan Norwood, VP of Operations, emphasized the significance of this release:
“The launch of our 10-Year-Old Rye is a defining moment for Sagamore Spirit. This release reflects not only our deep commitment to the legacy of Maryland rye, but also the high standards our fans expect. It’s a bottle not to be missed.”
The Reserve Series and Maryland Rye Heritage
The Sagamore Spirit Reserve Series highlights Maryland rye’s history and distinct flavor profile. Some whiskeys in the series undergo unique barrel finishing, while others, like the 10-Year-Old, stand out with extended aging. The brand continues to promote a grain-to-glass process, working with local farmers and using non-GMO grains to support Maryland agriculture.
Price and Availability
The Sagamore Spirit 10-Year-Old Straight Rye Whiskey is rolling out this month with a suggested retail price of $79.99. It will be available at the Baltimore distillery and select U.S. retailers.
