Four Rare Single-Cask Whiskies Celebrate the Season
New York, NY – October 15, 2025 – The Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS), an international whisky club, introduces its Winter Series, a collection of four limited-edition single-cask aged Scotch whiskies, designed to celebrate the seasonal holidays with unique flavor profiles. The collection, featuring Spirit of Hallowe’en, Mistletoe and Whisky, We’ll Take a Cup of Kindness Yet, and Sing Thy Name!, is available exclusively online for $565 (96 collections total) at smwsa.com.
“The Winter Series is our annual collection commemorating the four global holidays, which take place this season; Halloween, Christmas, New Years, and Burns Night,” said Ben Diedrich, Senior Director, USA at the Scotch Malt Whiskey Society. “Just as our fondest memories are often made during the holidays, so too are they made over a great dram of whisky. To mark the occasions, we’ve hand-picked four casks from our warehouse that we felt our members would be most excited for that are truly one-of-a-kind spirits from some of Scotland’s most revered distilleries. It’s the type of whisky that any enthusiast would be eager to share with their family and friends. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about.”
Winter Series Collection Highlights:
- Spirit of Hallowe’en – 57.1% ABV; 224 bottles; flavors of molasses, strawberries, and a bold medicinal finish.
- Mistletoe and Whisky – 58.9% ABV; 220 bottles; notes of cherry pie filling, candied orange, and blackcurrant jam.
- We’ll Take a Cup of Kindness Yet – 57.7% ABV; 245 bottles; tropical fruit, cherry cola, mace, and candied ginger.
- Sing Thy Name! – 60.6% ABV; 225 bottles; ripe pears, apples, cinnamon, clove, pineapple gummy, and vanilla sponge cake.
Aged 11-13 years across Speyside, Highland, and Islay regions, these whiskies showcase Bold & Peaty, Ripe Fruits & Honey, Sweet & Zesty, and Toasted Oak & Vanilla profiles, reflecting SMWS’s access to Scotland’s rarest single casks.
