First Expression in Hidden Stash Collection Showcases Templeton’s Most Prized Barrels.
Templeton Distillery has unveiled its 13-Year-Old Rye Whiskey, the inaugural release from its new Hidden Stash Collection. This limited-edition expression represents the pinnacle of Templeton’s aging program, drawn from some of the distillery’s oldest sourced barrels that have matured for more than a decade in Templeton, Iowa.
Celebrating Templeton’s Heritage and Craftsmanship
The 13-Year-Old Rye is non-chill filtered, features a 95% rye and 5% malted barley mashbill, and was matured in new American oak barrels with a heavy char. The whiskey is bottled at 108 proof.
“The launch of the 13-Year-Old marks a milestone in our aging program, a hidden treasure drawn from some of our finest sourced stocks,” said Shane Fitzharris, Senior Vice President, Global Commercial at Infinium Spirits. “With elevated packaging and some of the rarest, most refined whiskey we’ve released to date, this limited edition highlights Templeton’s commitment to crafting whiskeys that honor our history while reinforcing our position in the premium rye category.”
Rich Flavor and Refined Complexity
On the nose, Templeton 13-Year-Old opens with bold aromas of sweet and spicy rye complemented by candied orange zest. The palate delivers a warming burst of sweet chipotle pepper balanced by layers of citrus and spice, leading to a lingering finish that evolves from honey to caramel and concludes with dark chocolate notes. The whiskey is presented in premium packaging featuring a display box designed to highlight the collection’s exclusivity.

Since opening its Templeton Distillery in 2018, the brand has developed an extensive innovation pipeline, producing both sourced and in-house distillates. Recent releases such as Fortitude Bourbon (2024) demonstrate Templeton’s ongoing evolution, while the Hidden Stash Collection provides whiskey enthusiasts with access to the brand’s most mature and rare barrels.
