Three Chord Bourbon Releases Limited Edition Honey Toasted Whiskey

Three Chord Bourbon has announced a new, Limited Edition Release for 2023. This time, Three Chord Honey Toasted Whiskey which is composed of Bourbon & Corn Whiskey which has been finished in two different barrel types.

To create Three Chord Honey Toast whiskey, its individual whiskey components were blended and aged in toasted barrels from Independent Stave Company and Speyside Cooperage for 3 months. This blend was followed up by one month of additional finishing in honey barrels from Fern Valley Farms in Arkansas. The finishing technique sought to create a bold, yet balanced whiskey with a sweet honey finish.

• MGP 5-Year Bourbon (36% Rye) – 40%
• Kentucky 8-Year Corn Whiskey – 32%

Details and Tasting Notes from Three Chord Honey Toasted Whiskey:

• Color: Golden amber
• Aroma: Oak lactones, spice box, honey cake, cedar, slight floral notes.
• Palate: Balanced viscosity that indicates wood sugar and honey. Not very hot considering the proof.
• Taste: Medium-plus bodied with robust, toasted character on the midpalate. Interaction between tannins and sweetness. Opens slowly with layer upon layer of charred and toasted oak.
• Finish: Clean finish with bold toasted notes and a restrained, sweet honey character.
