New Decal on JR Motorsports No. 40 Chevrolet Points to 121-Proof Line Extension.

A social media post from JR Motorsports, Chris Stapleton, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and driver Justin Allgaier has sparked fresh speculation in both the NASCAR and whiskey worlds. The video, shared on X.com, unveiled the updated 2026 Traveller Whiskey NASCAR paint scheme—and may have inadvertently revealed a previously unannounced new expression in the Traveller Whiskey lineup.

Sharp-eyed fans noticed a blue decal on the rear quarter panel of the No. 40 Chevrolet bearing the words “Full Proof”and “121 Proof.” The placement and clarity of the sticker have fueled widespread belief that Traveller Whiskey is preparing to introduce a Full Proof Traveller Whiskey bottled at 121 proof, marking the first known line extension beyond the brand’s flagship 90-proof offering.

While neither JR Motorsports nor Traveller Whiskey has formally confirmed the new expression, the appearance of the decal on an official team image suggests the reveal was more than coincidental.

Paint Scheme Reveal Builds on 2026 DAYTONA 500 Reunion

The leaked detail arrives just months after JR Motorsports and Chris Stapleton announced their reunification for the 2026 DAYTONA 500, news that broke in November 2025. The team will again field the No. 40 Traveller Whiskey Chevrolet, with the number referencing Traveller Whiskey’s signature Blend No. 40.

Traveller Whiskey’s Momentum Continues

Traveller Whiskey, blended and bottled at Buffalo Trace Distillery under Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley, has quickly built momentum since launch. The brand earned Best of Class American Blended Whiskey honors at the New York World Spirits Competition and was named the Most Awarded Super Premium Whiskey of 2024.

Traveller is currently bottled at 90 proof with a suggested retail price of $39.99. A potential 121-proof Full Proof Traveller would represent a significant expansion of the portfolio and a clear signal that the brand is targeting more enthusiast-driven whiskey drinkers.

What Comes Next

The timing of the paint scheme reveal and the prominent “Full Proof | 121 Proof” decal both raise the possibility that an official announcement could be coming sooner rather than later, potentially aligned with Daytona Speedweeks or another major motorsports milestone.

For now, the blue decal remains an unconfirmed but highly telling clue that Traveller Whiskey’s next chapter may be bottled at full proof.
