Watch Hill Whiskey Company has announced two new limited releases: Exceptional Series Batch 03 and Chef Series Batch 01.
The releases highlight the brand’s focus on rare barrels, high proof, and curated selections, with one expression continuing an established bourbon series and the other launching a new annual rye whiskey program.
Exceptional Series Batch 03 Features Rare 18-Year Bourbons
Exceptional Series Batch 03 is the third installment in Watch Hill Whiskey Company’s Exceptional Series, which showcases rare, aged bourbons discovered by the team. Batch 03 is a blend of three hand-selected 18-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon barrels, bottled at 128 proof. Only 102 bottles were produced, with 80 made available to the public at a suggested price of $499 per bottle.
“Our Exceptional Series is reserved for bourbon that truly earns that word, and Batch 03 absolutely does,” said Tommy Craggs, Co-Founder of Watch Hill Proper. “We don’t release a whiskey unless it surpasses our highest expectations, and the combination of these three 18-year barrels is something profoundly special.”
Chef Series Batch 01 Launches a New Annual Rye Program
Chef Series Batch 01 marks the debut of a new annual rye whiskey series created in collaboration with Executive Chef Michael Crouch. For the inaugural release, Crouch selected a single barrel of 12-year-old straight rye whiskey, bottled at 130.4 proof. Although age-stated at 12 years, the whiskey was bottled just after the barrel reached 13 years of age. Only 100 bottles were produced, with 75 available to the public.
“Rye whiskey has always spoken to me, the spice, the complexity, the way it evolves with time,” said Executive Chef Michael J. Crouch. “To have a whiskey that represents my palate and carries my name is truly humbling, and this first batch is everything I hoped it would be: bold, refined, and built on years of patience.”
Limited Availability and Future Releases Planned
Chef Series Batch 01 is priced at $249 per bottle and, along with Exceptional Series Batch 03, is available exclusively through Watch Hill Whiskey Company on a first-come, first-served basis. Watch Hill Whiskey Company has also secured additional rye barrels for future Chef Series releases, each slated for an additional year of aging before bottling to build on the concept year over year.
