The initiative begins November 1 with a $101,000 donation to The Farmlink Project, a nonprofit that redirects surplus food to communities in need.
Wild Turkey is launching Thanksgiving Traditions, a new annual giveback program celebrating holiday gatherings while supporting efforts to fight food insecurity. Inspired by the brand’s signature Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon, the contribution is expected to help provide approximately 1.2 million meals nationwide.
Throughout November, the program will encourage consumers to celebrate holiday traditions through seasonal cocktail specials at participating bars, restaurants and retailers. Participating locations may also choose to make a voluntary $20 contribution directly to The Farmlink Project. Consumers can contribute through a donation link on the Wild Turkey website as well. “Thanksgiving is about coming together, and giving back has always been part of Wild Turkey’s tradition,” said Allison Varone, Head of Marketing at Campari America. “This year, we’re proud to carry that forward by bringing people together over Wild Turkey while supporting The Farmlink Project’s mission to fight food insecurity.”
For those hosting at home, Wild Turkey is partnering with Cocktail Courier on a Holiday Hosting Edition Cocktail Kit featuring ingredients for a batch of Wild Turkey Holiday Punch. Priced at $115, the kit includes a 375ml bottle of Wild Turkey 101 Bourbon, pear-citrus syrup, apple cinnamon tea, cranberry-apple juice, lemon, aromatic bitters and dehydrated apple slices, along with a limited-edition 1.75L Wild Turkey can, funnel and recipe card. The kit is available through Cocktail Courier, while additional seasonal cocktail inspiration can be found on the Wild Turkey website.
The initiative also supports The Farmlink Project’s work connecting surplus produce from farms with communities facing food insecurity. “As a holiday centered around food and gathering, Thanksgiving is a time of abundance for many, but for too many families, putting enough food on the table remains a challenge,” said Kate Nelson, Founding Team Member and Head of Brand Partnerships at The Farmlink Project. “With so much perfectly good food going to waste across the country, we’re incredibly grateful for Wild Turkey’s continued support, which will help us move more surplus food to those who need it this holiday season.”
Consumers can find participating locations through the Thanksgiving Traditions page on WildTurkeyBourbon.com, explore cocktail recipes at WildTurkey.com/Cocktails, or learn more about The Farmlink Project at FarmlinkProject.org. Wild Turkey also offered a sweepstakes for a chance to win a Friendsgiving experience at its Kentucky distillery, including a tour, tastings and curated local experiences.
