Garrison Brothers Announces New Lady Bird Bourbon Release for 2025

The Texas Honey-Infused Cognac-Finished Bourbon will be available on April 5, 2025.

Garrison Brothers Distillery in Texas is set to release the 2025 edition of its award-winning Lady Bird bourbon. Inspired by Lady Bird Johnson’s legacy and her commitment to the environment and Texas wildflowers, this limited release honors her lasting impact. The 2025 Lady Bird release includes 7,110 bottles, with the first 1,000 bottles available on April 5, 2025, at the distillery. Sales will begin at 8 AM on a first-come, first-served basis. For every bottle sold, Garrison Brothers will donate $5 to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas.

Lady Bird is a Texas honey-infused cognac-finished bourbon, beginning as a Small Batch aged for 4 years in new white American oak barrels. It is then infused with Burleson’s Texas Wildflower Honey for 8-9 months to create HoneyDew, a cask strength product. The bourbon is then transferred to French Cognac XO casks for another 3 years of aging. Bottled at 114 proof, each bottle is hand-sealed with Prairie Purple wax. According to Garrison Brothers’ Master Distiller Donnis Todd, Lady Bird’s flavor profile is a “harmonious marriage of honey and cognac flavors,” with tasting notes of wildflower honey, fresh grass, dark chocolate-covered cherries, and dried fruits.

Since the release of Lady Bird in 2023, Garrison Brothers has donated over $67,000 to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center from bottle sales. At the April 5 release event, the Wildflower Center will have an informational tent to educate attendees about their programs. “Our Garrison Brothers Lady Bird bourbon continues to honor the work of Lady Bird Johnson and the many gifts she gave us,” said Nancy Garrison, Co-founder of Garrison Brothers.

The 2024 edition of Lady Bird received recognition, including Double Gold at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Awards and accolades from the SIP Awards and the New York International Spirits Competition. After the April 5 release, the remaining 6,110 bottles will be available for online purchase by May and will be distributed to retailers, restaurants, and bars nationwide. Lady Bird’s suggested retail price is $179.99.
