The distillery just announced the addition of two new bourbon mash bills to their lineup. This marks a significant milestone for Four Roses, opening the door to new product possibilities, flavors, and innovation.
Four Roses just announced an unexpected move in the Bourbon World. Known for combining two mash bills with five proprietary yeast strains to distill and age 10 distinct bourbon recipes, the distillery in Lawrenceburg KY, just notified their Mellow Moments mailing list that it would add two new mash bills to the mix. Historically, each of Four Roses 10 bourbon recipes feature their own unique flavor profile, which is evidenced by their extensive single barrel program.
The Four Mash Bills Now Include (by Rye Content):
- NEW: 52% Corn, 43% Rye, 5% Malted Barley (now the distillery’s highest rye mash bill)
- Mash Bill B: 60% Corn, 35% Rye, 5% Malted Barley
- Mash Bill E: 75% Corn, 20% Rye, 5% Malted Barley
- NEW: 85% Corn, 10% Rye, 5% Malted Barley (lowest rye mash bill)
Never fear for fans of the brand, Four Roses Distillery confirms that the new mash bills are for new products in the future and are not intended to replace their core products.
While our core products remain unchanged, these mash bills allow for new, unique innovations in years to come. We’re honored to share this major news first with you, our most loyal fans.
