NEWPORT, KY (May 8, 2026) – Award-winning New Riff Distilling has announced the fourth installment of its acclaimed Single Malt Whiskey. The 2026 expression is the distillery’s most intricate blend to date, featuring some of their oldest malt stocks and the debut of Chevallier, a rare 19th-century British heirloom malt variety.

Standing as a pioneer in the emerging American Single Malt category, New Riff utilizes a unique “Kentucky Regimen”—incorporating sour mashing, open fermentation, and column still distillation—to bridge the gap between Old World malt heritage and Bluegrass tradition.

The 2026 release is a complex marriage of six distinct mashbills matured in five different cask types, including new charred oak, de-charred toasted oak, used bourbon barrels, and both Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks.

“This is one of the most creative whiskeys we make, and a blend we look forward to revisiting every year,” said Master Distiller Brian Sprance. “These whiskeys are inspired by malted barleys used in the brewing industry, reimagined through our Kentucky regimen.”

“This year, we were especially excited to introduce Chevallier malt into the blend, a variety that brings a distinct character and adds another layer to the overall profile,” said Sprance. “Each component can stand on its own, but the real magic is in how they interact, showcasing our expertise in blending and bringing all of those elements into balance.”

Bottled at 111.7 proof without chill filtration, the 2026 Single Malt Whiskey will be available nationwide and at the distillery gift shop beginning Friday, May 15, at an SRP of $69.99.
