The latest release in the Rabbit Hole Distillery Series is a Straight Bourbon finished in Ruby Port casks. The release promises to offer a unique sensory experience. The Distillery Series is Founder Kaveh Zamanian’s playground and each installment demonstrates Rabbit Hole’s commitment to originality and innovation.
Rabelo, which means ‘little tail,’ was the name given to boats with long timber projecting off the rear which was used to steer the vessel. Traditionally, these Portuguese wooden cargo boats were used for centuries to transport people as well as goods along the Douro River. Although not in commercial use anymore, these vessels still can be seen today. Mainly, belonging to several port wine companies along the river in Porto and Gaia.
Each sip offers a complex mix of baking spices and fruits, set against a backdrop of sweet whiskey and wine flavors, which transition to a delicate finish marked by hints of port chocolate.
This release is a Limited Edition, Small Batch, Cask Strength whiskey, available in 375 mL bottles. Each bottle features a custom-designed label with the Batch and Bottle number printed on it. As the third release in the series, Rabbit Hole Rabelo joins the Distillery Series collection of extraordinary spirits which aims to push the boundaries of craft and creativity and redefine what whiskey can be.
