Limited Release Highlights Family Tradition and Barrel Selection.
Starlight Distillery has announced a new Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon curated by Dana Huber, marking a personal milestone for the family-owned Indiana distillery. The limited small-batch release reflects seven years of production, barrel evaluation, and blending experience.
According to the distillery, the bourbon was developed through a six-month barrel selection process during which Dana Huber personally selected ten barrels for the final blend.
Estate-Grown Grains and Farm-to-Glass Production
The release follows Starlight Distillery’s farm-to-glass approach, with more than 85% of the grains used in the bourbon grown on the Huber family estate in southern Indiana.
The distillery stated that the release reflects its continued focus on sustainability, estate agriculture, and hands-on whiskey production.
Dana Huber Details the Creation Process
Dana Huber said, “This Bottled in Bond release is the result of a long journey. It’s built on years of working together—understanding our mash bills, studying the influence of different barrel types and cooperages, and spending time in production as the distillate moves through our stills. I wanted to be certain that when my name was placed on this bottle, it stood for something meaningful—something I believe in completely.”
Huber also described the release as representing “years of patience, dedication, and love for what we do.”
Tasting Notes and Proof
The distillery describes the bourbon as featuring a fruit-forward nose alongside integrated tannins on the palate. Additional notes include vanilla, spice, and stone fruit flavors.
The bourbon is bottled at 100 proof in accordance with Bottled-in-Bond standards and is intended to be enjoyed neat, over ice, or in cocktails.
Availability
The new Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon will be released in limited quantities beginning in summer 2026 through the distillery website, at the distillery in Borden, and through select retailers.
