A Pair of Rare Releases, including 60 Year Old Scotch Whisky, Showcase Shuttered Distilleries.

The Last Drop Distillers has announced its 2026 Collection, featuring two limited ultra-aged releases: a 25-Year-Old Trinidad Rum from the closed Caroni Distillery and a 60-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky from the historic Carsebridge Distillery.

The company stated that both releases were selected to highlight the legacy and craftsmanship of two distilleries that are no longer operational.

Release No. 41: 25-Year-Old Trinidad Rum from Caroni Distillery

Release No. 41 is a Trinidad rum drawn from two bourbon casks distilled in 1997 and 1999 at the former Caroni Distillery. The rum was matured in Trinidad’s tropical climate for 25 years before being blended and bottled at 130.4 proof (65.2% ABV).

Only 261 bottles will be released worldwide with a suggested retail price of $2,399.99 for a 700mL bottle.

According to tasting notes provided by The Last Drop Distillers, the rum presents aromas of roasted nuts, spiced oak, pineapple, vanilla, orange blossom, and jasmine. The palate reportedly includes papaya, hibiscus flower, ginger cake, banana leaf, white pepper, and light smoke before a long oak-driven finish.

Release No. 42: 60-Year-Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky

Release No. 42 is a 60-year-old single grain Scotch whisky drawn from a single ex-bourbon cask laid down in November 1965 at Carsebridge Distillery. The Lowland distillery, once a major grain whisky producer in Scotland, closed decades ago.

The whisky is bottled at 84.8 proof (42.4% ABV), with only 140 bottles available globally at a suggested retail price of $4,999.99.

Master Blender Colin Scott described the whisky as showing notes of toffee, baking spices, sweet fruit, clove, toasted almonds, crème brûlée, and oak-spiced fruit, followed by a lingering finish.

Kizito Owusu-Sarfo, Sazerac Brand Director of World Aged Spirits, added that the Caroni release reflects Trinidad’s rum-making heritage, while the Carsebridge whisky offers “a rare glimpse into Scotch whisky’s golden age.”
