The Super-Premium Collaboration Debuts in Limited Quantities for $599.99.

Jack Daniel’s has announced the release of Halo MK1 Tennessee Whiskey, a limited-edition collaboration with McLaren Formula 1 Team. The release combines a specially produced Tennessee whiskey with design-focused packaging inspired by McLaren Formula 1 race cars.

According to the company, Halo MK1 is the most premium and limited global release in Jack Daniel’s history, carrying a suggested retail price of $599.99 for a 1-liter bottle.

Packaging Inspired by Formula 1 Engineering

The release’s packaging reimagines the HALO safety structure found on McLaren Formula 1 cars as the vessel surrounding the whiskey bottle. The design incorporates alloy metal, micro-suede, and carbon fibre print materials inspired by McLaren race car construction.

The bottle also features a hand-finished cork and custom medallions intended to reflect the partnership between the two brands.

Louise McEwen, Chief Marketing Officer, McLaren Racing, said, “Jack Daniel’s Halo MK1 is a great expression of what our partnership represents, precision, craftsmanship and a shared respect for heritage. By drawing inspiration from our racing innovation, and honouring the legacy of Bruce McLaren, this release brings together McLaren’s racing DNA and Jack Daniel’s whiskey making tradition in a way that feels both authentic and truly collectible.”

Whiskey Production and Aging Details

Halo MK1 Tennessee Whiskey uses Jack Daniel’s traditional mash bill of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley. Produced in Lynchburg, the whiskey undergoes the brand’s legendary charcoal mellowing process through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before aging in new American white oak barrels.

For this release, the barrels were constructed using staves aged outdoors for an extended period before toasting. The company states that this process softens tannins in the wood and contributes to additional color, aroma, and flavor development. The whiskey is bottled at 117.4 proof (58.7% ABV).

Flavor Profile and Brand Commentary

According to Master Distiller Chris Fletcher, the whiskey presents aromas of sweet maple, fruit, and toasted oak. The palate reportedly includes caramel and chocolate notes alongside pipe tobacco and baking spice, followed by a finish featuring barrel spice and brown sugar candy.

Mark Bacon, SVP and Global Managing Director for Jack Daniel’s, stated, “We are thrilled to continue to celebrate many fantastic years of partnership with McLaren with the debut of our most exciting collaboration yet – a remarkable bottle that is destined to become a collector’s item for Formula 1 fans and whiskey drinkers alike. Halo MK1 Tennessee Whiskey embodies our shared values of innovation, excellence and ambition.”

Ultra Premium Means Ultra Limited Availability

Jack Daniel’s Halo MK1 Tennessee Whiskey is available now in select global markets in limited quantities. Consumers can purchase the release online through the Jack Daniel’s website while supplies last.
