New Brand from Father-Son Team Celebrates Early Kentucky and Bourbon History.
15 STARS has introduced Kentucke County™, a new limited-edition whiskey line commemorating America’s 250th anniversary and Kentucky’s role in bourbon history.
The launch includes two releases: Kentucke County™ 12 Year-Old American Whiskey and Kentucke County™ 6 Year-Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey, both presented in collectible commemorative packaging.
According to the company, the brand name references Kentucke County, established in 1776 as Virginia’s western frontier county before eventually becoming part of Kentucky and Bourbon County.
12-Year-Old American Whiskey Details
Kentucke County™ 12 Year-Old American Whiskey is bottled at 90 proof with a suggested retail price of $57.99.
The whiskey is described as a blend of straight bourbon and American whiskey produced from a bourbon mash bill. It was aged for seven years in second-use oak barrels before spending an additional five years in new charred oak.
Tasting notes provided by the company include aromas of oak, vanilla extract, dark chocolate, nutmeg, pear, sweet cherry, herbal tea, and honey. The palate reportedly features pear, cherry, apple, cinnamon, pepper, caramel, and oak before finishing with caramel, tobacco, and wood notes.

The second release, Kentucke County™ 6 Year-Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey, is also bottled at 90 proof with a suggested retail price of $37.99.
The bourbon blends two Kentucky straight bourbons aged a minimum of six years. The company describes the whiskey as featuring aromas of honeysuckle, banana, candied fruit, caramel, damp forest, and seasoned oak. Flavor notes include vanilla, apricot, golden raisin, cinnamon, leather, maple syrup, honey, and tobacco.
Co-Founder Commentary
Co-founder Ricky Johnson said, “Bourbon, America and Kentucky all began together. We carry the spirit and craftsmanship of early Kentucky in our bones and express it in every bottle, delivering the aged flavor of whiskeys often priced twice as high.”
The company stated that the line is intended to offer approachable, age-stated whiskey releases while also serving as collectible commemorative bottlings tied to the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration.
