Ultra-Aged Annual Release Returns to Stitzel-Weller Distillery
Blade and Bow has announced the 2026 re-release of its 22-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. First introduced in 2015, the expression returns as part of the brand’s annual ultra-premium lineup, produced in extremely limited quantities and tied to the legacy of Stitzel-Weller Distillery.
The release is positioned as one of the rarest and most mature offerings in the brand’s portfolio, with over two decades of aging.
Limited Availability and Distillery Experience
The 2026 release became available in April 2026 at Stitzel-Weller Distillery and in select U.S. markets while supplies last. At the distillery, the bourbon is featured as the April “Bottle of the Day,” with one bottle offered daily on a first come, first served basis.
Consumers also have access to a distillery tasting experience, which includes a one-ounce pour of the 22-year-old bourbon along with branded items and a tasting guide.
Maturation, Proof, and Pricing
Blade and Bow 22-Year-Old is aged for 22 years and bottled at 92 proof (46% ABV). The expression carries a suggested retail price of $1,100 per 750mL bottle.
Each annual release is produced in limited quantities, with no guaranteed availability window, contributing to its rarity within the ultra-aged bourbon category.
Tasting Notes and Profile
According to the brand, the bourbon opens with aromas of toasted oak, vanilla bean, and fig, alongside caramel notes. The palate features honeyed orchard fruit, torched sugar, and baking spice, followed by a long finish with gentle spice and lingering sweetness.
The whiskey is described as reflecting the depth and complexity developed through extended maturation, while maintaining ties to traditional Kentucky bourbon production.
