The event, organized in partnership with Louisville Downtown Partnership and Goodbounce Pickleball Yard, transformed Main Street outside the Distillery into an outdoor pickleball venue.
ANGEL’S ENVY® officially kicked off its summer-long Daycap campaign this past weekend with a pickleball street festival in downtown Louisville. Highlights included open play, competitive tournaments, live music, food, and a Peach Smash bar featuring the brand’s signature summer cocktail.
Celebrity Match and Community Celebration
The launch event featured a celebrity exhibition match between Venita Aspen (Bravo’s Southern Charm and ANGEL’S ENVY brand partner) and Sean Baute, host of WAVE Listens Live. Aspen said, “Seeing the community come together around pickleball, embrace the Daycap, and celebrate with friends in style — all while enjoying thoughtfully crafted bourbon cocktails like the Peach Smash— was the perfect way to kick off the summer.” Guests also enjoyed exclusive giveaways, photo opportunities, and an immersive Daycap experience inside the distillery.
Limited-Edition Pickleball Merch with Short Court
As part of the campaign, ANGEL’S ENVY launched a limited-edition pickleball capsule collection in collaboration with Charleston-based Short Court, known for its stylish pickleball gear. The collection includes co-branded paddles and hats, now available at the ANGEL’S ENVY Distillery and online at shortcourtsports.com. “At Short Court, we’ve always embraced a ‘play, then après’ attitude, and we love Angel’s Envy for their spirited take on our new favorite summer ritual: the Daycap,” said Short Court co-founder Neil Thomson.
Expanding Daycap Experiences Nationwide
According to ANGEL’S ENVY General Manager Gigi DaDan, “Introducing the Daycap to consumers across the country allows us to celebrate that earned moment to relax and enjoy a well-crafted drink – an invitation to cap off the day and kick off the night.”
The campaign will continue with Peach Smash Daycap Takeovers at Louisville venues like Goodbounce Pickleball Yard and Five Iron Golf, a 90-minute Peach Smash cocktail class at the ANGEL’S ENVY Distillery, and a Daycap-themed event in Charleston, SC this fall.
